The band Verpa was invited by Petr Janda (Olympic) to his then studio Propast to record their first songs. One of them was accompanied by a video clip, which was also presented together with a live interview on ČT2 as part of the young people's programme Studio Kontakt, which was one of the first talk shows in its time.

Subsequently, she played a series of concerts on tour with Vilda Čok's band Delirium Tremens. This tour was the beginning of a successful performance and catapulted the band high among the top of the metal scene at the time. The band was active until '98 with minor breaks, when they recorded two more demos.

This year the band has finished recording nine new songs and is releasing their debut CD. The line-up has disbanded with a singer and a drummer after the release and playing a few shows due to personnel relationships.

In 2022, the line-up is complete again and the next creation is underway. It is no longer a secret that Dalibor Figura founder of band Parasophisma, who is well known in the doom metal scene of the 90s, has joined the band. In the band Verpa he sat behind the drums and took the lead vocals.

In February 2024 the band recorded 7 new songs. With the addition of a new member, the music becomes more structured, more colourful, but it doesn't lose any of its rawness, even in the area of vocals, which move the music closer to death and black metal. For the first time in the history of Verpa, expect songs with English lyrics. There is also a change in the logo, which corresponds better with the band's work and future direction.
